This version of the slide show has been reduced to be easier to download. It is half as wide and half as tall as the version I showed at the memorial, and runs at half the frame rate (so the transitions are less smooth). By making those compromises, I was able to cut the file size to one twentieth of what it was! And even so, sitting right in front of your computer, it’s probably about as good a view as most people had at the memorial (and the colors are much richer than on the projection screen).
Apple wants you to have to buy their “QuickTime Pro” to be able to download movies that are embedded in web pages. Of course there are ways around that, but I will make it even easier. Just right-click (or control-click if you have a one-button mouse) on the following link, and choose to download the linked file. (If you are using Internet Explorer on Windows, the menu option to choose is “Save Target As…”, and if you are using Firefox it is “Save Link As…”):
Link for downloading the small movie (16 MB).
If you accidentally just click on the link (rather than right-clicking or control-clicking) it will take you to a window just showing the movie. At that point you may be able to save it using your “File” menu, but you may need to click the “back“ button and try following the directions more carefully.
People who have fast Internet connections and big screens can also view or download the slideshow at the full resolution for which I designed it using the following link:
